Spot check is a a close look at a few items in a group.
Within the EQIPD framework, spot check is an examination of various activities and processes to make sure that everything is being done according to the expectations.
For a spot check, data / experiments may be selected randomly to see how well the RU is doing by finding answers to questions such as: - how easy is it to retrieve and reconstruct the data? - are study protocols completed prior to the start of experiments? - have data been generated in an unbiased fashion? - have all results been reported?
