NEED
Specific to a research units, needs (reasons) to introduce and maintain high research quality are derived from research unit's mission, research objectives, dictated by stakeholders (e.g. funders) or defined by EQIPD. Needs are identified by the process owner and are presented in the Planning tool.

Collaboration in pharma industry
A dedicated working group with members from pharma industry within EQIPD agreed on several important aspects for them when collaborating with external research units (academic or CRO). Hence, this NEED provides guidance for collaborations with industry partners and additional information is summarised in 1.4.3.2 Industry-academia: Research as collaboration.
