Information on the calculation of the priority ranking

Background

The priority ranking in the Planning Tool aims to provide guidance on which elements of the Action Plan to start working on first. However, this list does not mean that items are less important or could be neglected.

The Action Plan contains the EQIPD Core and Confirmatory Mode Requirements which all have the highest priority ("must have") in the beginning. This priority can change when importing new NEEDs, since the organisation creating a new NEED is asked to use the EQIPD ranking to judge the priority of each EQIPD item. They have to do this in addition to the newly added Challenges.

The Planning Tool calculates the average of the existing priority and the priority of the NEEDs added to the Action Plan. This average is displayed in the column "Priority" with two digits behind the comma and the priority classification ("must have, "highly recommended", "adviseable").
